Product description
The CEOLA vase in Satellite, with a height of 18 cm, stylishly showcases flowers and individual branches. Its rounded, organic silhouette is complemented by a slim neck that gives arrangements a clear, upright orientation. This makes the ceramic vase suitable for both individual stems and small, deliberately minimalist compositions.
The matte, rough-glazed surface gives the vase a distinctive tactile quality and emphasizes its understated, modern look. Subtle color variations enliven the restrained Satellite hue and effectively highlight the curved form. Even without floral decoration, the vase makes a statement as an independent design object on a sideboard, shelf, dining table, or windowsill.
The design is by Frederike Martens. With its compact height and harmoniously rounded shape, the vase blends effortlessly into a variety of living spaces. As part of the CEOLA series, it reflects the collection’s signature combination of a slim neck, organic contours, and a rough-glazed ceramic surface.

About
Trained as an industrial designer with a particular emphasis on glass and ceramics at the Design School in Halle, Germany, Frederike Martens (born 1987) has a rare talent for pure and strikingly simple shapes, and a preference for colours that will stand the test of time. With her impeccable sense of balance and proportion, Frederike work displays a special sensitivity to how materials work, both alone and together. However, for the young designer the practical usability of any given item is equally important. The Sablo tableware line, comprising 18 distinct items, was her first design project for blomus – and has now been followed up by the Ceola vase.
