Product description
A minimalist molded-wood frame supports both the backrest and the armrest. The cushions rest on a wooden base, making them appear to float visually above the base. The frame made of black-stained oak creates a striking contrast and underscores the modern design. Softly padded forms meet a linear substructure, creating a balanced interplay of different contours.
Thanks to its open reclining surface, the chaise longue provides generous space for leaning back and relaxing. Designed by Kazushige Miyake, its pared-down silhouette integrates seamlessly into modern living spaces. As part of the MOCO series, it reflects the collection’s characteristic combination of softly shaped cushions and a clearly defined wooden frame.

About
Japanese designer Kazushige Miyake (b. 1973) graduated from Tama Art University in Tokyo with a specialization in design. He then began his career as a product designer in Great Britain before returning to Japan in 1999.
In 2005, he founded his own design studio. Today, Miyake Design is synonymous with clear and functional product design, from lounge chairs to suitcases, always with the discerning consumer in mind. Miyake favors simplicity and straightforwardness in his designs, and believes that every object has its own form.
This form is not limited to its physical presence, but also includes the aura or atmosphere that surrounds the object and its effect on those who use it.
Kazushige Miyake has received a number of prestigious design awards, including the iF Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award and the Good Design Award. Today, he is a member of the evaluation committees for both the Good Design Award and the iF Design Award.

Care Instruction:
Remove liquids or dried residues using an absorbent cotton cloth or a spoon/scraper. Remove non-greasy stains by gently dabbing with a lint-free cloth or sponge wrung out in clean, warm water. Avoid water marks by gently dabbing the stain in a circular motion from the outside toward the center using a clean, lint-free cloth. Remove greasy stains using appropriate cleaning agents or solvents. Always test stain removal products on an inconspicuous area first. Allow the fabric to dry completely before use.
Warning: Do not rub the material vigorously, as this may cause color loss and damage the pile. Exercise particular caution when using solvents, as they may dissolve the upholstery material beneath the textile surface. Under no circumstances should undiluted cleaning agents, bleach, ammonia, or soaps intended for hard surfaces be used. These instructions are provided as recommendations only and cannot guarantee complete stain removal. To ensure satisfactory results—especially for large stains—we recommend contacting a professional dry-cleaning service. It is important to state whether the stain has already been treated.
Material information
It also complies with Australian requirements in accordance with AS/NZS 3837 Class 2. In addition, the material meets the IMO FTP Code 2010 Part 8 maritime standard, making it suitable for demanding applications.
With appropriate treatment, higher classifications such as BS 5852 Crib 5, US California Bulletin 117-2013 and NFPA 260 are also achieved, which cover particularly stringent fire safety requirements for commercial and hospitality applications.
