Product description
Characteristic of Kazushige Miyake’s design are the coordinated cutouts along the upper and lower edges. When stacked, they interlock so that the contours of the boxes form a continuous graphic line. This transforms the storage box itself into a design element. The box is also dimensioned to correspond to the spacing between the shelves of the SUKOYA shelving unit.
The name KASANE means “to stack” or “to layer” in Japanese, reflecting the series’ central design principle. In addition to boxes in various sizes and colors, KASANE also includes trays. These can be used as decorative surfaces or practical lids for the boxes. In this way, the series combines organized storage with a distinctive, geometric design language.
