Product description
The 2-piece set of GANO tea towels in Indian Tan and Tradewinds combines clean design with a practical size of 70 x 50 cm. Both towels are made of cotton and feature a fine waffle piqué weave with a three-dimensional structure. This creates a distinctive surface that gives the textiles their characteristic look.
Designed by Frederike Martens, the block and stripe pattern adds graphic accents to the kitchen. Two different patterns create a varied overall look, while the coordinated shades of Indian Tan and Tradewinds form a harmonious whole. Whether used for drying dishes or as decorative kitchen textiles, the two towels combine everyday functionality with a modern, clean-lined appearance.
With their interplay of color, pattern, and textured surface, these tea towels are a distinctive part of the GANO series.

About
Trained as an industrial designer with a particular emphasis on glass and ceramics at the Design School in Halle, Germany, Frederike Martens (born 1987) has a rare talent for pure and strikingly simple shapes, and a preference for colours that will stand the test of time. With her impeccable sense of balance and proportion, Frederike work displays a special sensitivity to how materials work, both alone and together. However, for the young designer the practical usability of any given item is equally important. The Sablo tableware line, comprising 18 distinct items, was her first design project for blomus – and has now been followed up by the Ceola vase.
